Dolphins, History, Beaches & Sunsets
You haven’t truly seen Beaufort and the Low Country until you see it from the water. Spot dolphins, alligators, ospreys, shorebirds, deer, and monkeys (yes, monkeys). Ponder layer upon layer of our region’s rich history. Explore deserted beaches accessible only by boat. Or just kick back with a cold beverage and your tunes of choice to take in a spectacular Sea Islands sunset on one of our family-friendly and dog-friendly private boat tours and dolphin cruises.
YES! GOOD DOGS ARE WELCOME ON ALL TOURS & CRUISES!
Why Sea Island Adventures?
For good reason, there are plenty of folks offering Beaufort boat tours and dolphin cruises. With almost any of them, you'll probably have a great experience. After all, it's tough to have a bad day on a boat, especially in such a beautiful place. Here's why we think you'll love getting on the water with us:
- The Boat Is Yours — With Sea Island Adventures, you charter the whole boat for your group of up to 6 people. It’s just you and your captain.
- Choose Your Adventure — How you spend your time on the water is up to you. We don’t do preplanned routes or scripts.
- Kids Welcomed (and Kept Busy!) — We don’t just let kids on the boat; we love having them. Our captains are great at keeping the whole family engaged.
- And Dogs Too — That’s right, we're pet-friendly! Good dogs are always welcome on the boat, and they love running on empty beaches.
- Room to Roam — Our 25-foot C-Hawk center console is extra wide, allowing lots of space to move around the boat.
- Native Captain — Our captains were born in Beaufort and raised on the water. Nobody knows these waters better or loves them more.
- BYO Music & Beverages — You’re welcome to connect to our Bluetooth audio system and bring along your refreshments of choice.

Things to See & Do On Your Beaufort Boat Tour
Because every tour is tailored to what our guests have in mind, we don’t offer specific trips like dolphin cruises or sunset cruises. But here are some of the possibilities.
Beaufort Boat Tour FAQ
-
We mostly do two-hour and three-hour trips, although longer outings can be arranged. Just give us a call and let us know what you have in mind.
-
We can accommodate up to 6 guests on our primary boat. For larger groups, we can take up to 4 more on a second boat.
-
Yes, we love having well-behaved dogs on board!
-
Our two-hour charter costs $400 for up to 6 people. A three-hour charter is $550.
-
All charters include plenty of cold bottled water as well as an iced cooler for any snacks or beverages you’d like to bring. We only ask that you not bring glass bottles. Bring appropriate clothing, sunscreen, a camera and/or binoculars, a towel and a change of clothes if you plan on swimming, and a phone if you plan to play music through our Bluetooth audio system. For dogs, bring a leash and a water bowl.
-
We can’t guarantee dolphin sightings, but we can say it’s very rare not to see dolphins in our waters. Dolphins will often play in the boat’s wake or ride the bow wave.
-
There’s obviously a lot of luck involved in whether or not we see particular species. But animals we’ve seen include: ospreys, eagles, and other raptors; wading and shorebirds including roseate spoonbills; alligators, manatees, deer, raccoons, minks, otters, and macaque monkeys and Monkey Island.
-
No, our inland waterways are protected from ocean waves. We may encounter small chop, but nothing more than you would expect on a lake.
